By shifting your energy your life begins to shift
Reiki treatments at A Time For You Reiki & Counselling, Swindon are performed in a softly lit, relaxing and ambient atmosphere and are either one hour or one and a half hours in duration.
During your Reiki treatment, you lie down fully clothed on a therapy couch and are covered over and I will gently place my hands in a series of positions on your body especially over the areas where your energy centres are situated to free the movement of your own life force energy.
As the Reiki energy flows into you, you will feel more and more relaxed and will usually feel the warmth from my hands in the areas that are being treated.
People find Reiki treatments both an enjoyable and a very relaxing experience and report that they leave feeling calm yet more energised and refreshed with an improved feeling of wellbeing.
Reiki works mainly on balancing our 7 major energy centres within the body, called chakras. Chakras are spinning vortexes of energy which draw in the energy from our energy fields (our auras) and are responsible for storing, regulating and distributing our vital life force energy or Ki to our organs and physical bodies. During our lives we hold on to old painful memories, beliefs, emotions and actions and store them in our energy fields which eventually deplete and clog up our chakras so that they stop spinning and our Ki energy flow becomes blocked or weakened resulting in us suffering discomfort, physical pain or illness. When Reiki energy is channelled through the Reiki practitioner’s hands to the recipient, it gently unblocks the disturbances to their Ki energy flow, releases past distress and upset which is held there and enables their vital Ki energy to flow more freely through them so that they feel better. Scientific research has shown that Reiki’s healing energy regulates injury, repair and recovery as well as system rebalance and the recipient's brainwaves move into the “alpha” sate (characteristic of a meditative state) which is why recipients experience a feeling of deep relaxation.
Reiki works in conjunction with all medical treatments to relieve side effects.
Anyone! Reiki is safe and can benefit anybody of any age with or without any religious beliefs. Reiki treats any ailment which affects the physical body, the emotions, the mind and the spirit.
