My Terms & Conditions

 Ethics

My name is Tina Deas and I work independently as a therapist in my own private practice at A Time For You.  I am a registered and accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the BACP and work within their ethical framework.  Whilst counselling underpins all of the work that I do within my practice, I am also registered, insured and qualified to offer Reiki treatments, Hypnotherapy, EFT, Matrix Re-imprinting, Personal Life Coaching, Lifestyle Medicine, Clinical Supervision and Training.

 My Work

I have developed my own unique, holistic approach as a therapist at A Time For You and during your treatment with me you can benefit from the additional therapies/techniques that I offer where appropriate and time permitting.  Whilst I always endeavour to do everything within my ability to facilitate a successful treatment outcome, it is also reliant on your active participation and your interest in promoting your own healing and well-being.

Confidentiality

Everything you say during your sessions with me is confidential.  As is necessary to practise, my work is overseen by a clinical supervisor and this is done in a way that is respectful to our confidential relationship.

If I were to have any serious concerns that you or any other person were at risk of serious harm, it may be necessary to break confidentiality to limit any danger.  Wherever possible, any concerns would be shared with you and your permission sought before anyone else would be contacted.

 Fees, Session Duration And Payment

Current fees are available on request and are clearly shown on my website www.atimeforyou.net.  My fees are competitively priced and regularly reviewed.  Some concessions may be available.

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration unless we mutually agree to longer or shorter sessions.  If you arrive late for your session, we will still finish on time. Couples counselling is 60 minutes in duration.

Payment for online sessions: Please make sure that online payment is transferred before the session starts. Alternatively, I can accept card payment over the phone at the start of the session (£1 charge).

Payment for face to face sessions: Please make sure that online payment is transferred before the session starts. Alternatively, I can accept cash or a card payment at the start of the session (£1 charge for an individual session £2 per couple session).

My bank details for online payments are:  Sort code: 20-84-61    Account No: 83863069

 Non-Attendance

When we book a session, I am committed to being available for you and I trust you to attend.  I require 48 hours' notice if you are unable to attend for any reason. If I receive less than 48 hours notification of non attendance, the full session fee will be due and need to be paid before the next session. Card payments can be taken over the phone.

 Records

Your personal contact details are kept securely and any brief session notes remain the property of Tina Deas at A Time For You.  In accordance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) this information will not be shared with any third party. Any session notes will be destroyed 6 months after the last session that you attended.  If you have a planned  break in your therapy, I will keep your notes for future reference.  When you return for therapy after a 6-month break or more, your personal details will be confirmed before we continue our new sessions together.

 Aftercare Advice

It is essential that you take good care of yourself between sessions whilst your body, mind and emotions begin to heal. This means being and patient and compassionate with yourself as therapy is a process and it takes time to heal old wounds

Talking about problems can bring them up to the surface and you may experience a wide range of emotions between sessions.  Clients mostly feel relieved, but you may feel tired and a little vulnerable at times before you start to feel better.

All of the energy work that I do is designed to clear the energetic system of unwanted trauma, balance emotions and encourage the body to heal and balance itself.  You may go through a detoxifying process after a treatment with me for up to 3 days and have a desire to rest and/or sleep.  It is important to drink plenty of water after a treatment and avoid the consumption of alcohol and other toxins.

Generally, clients leave their sessions feeling more relaxed, calm and refreshed, with improved sleep and sense of overall well-being but if you have any worries or concerns then please contact me.

COVID-19 Screening Policy

As I work with some vulnerable people, I still need to screen each client for COVID-19 before a face to face session to ensure sufficient measures are put into place.

Declaration

Please read the following statements. Each statement will need to be confirmed and agreed by you prior to our face to face session taking place.

(1) I confirm that I have not knowingly been in contact with anyone with COVID-19.

(2) I confirm that I will inform you immediately if I develop symptoms of COVID-19 or test positive for COVID-19.

(3) If I test positive for COVID-19 I confirm I will resume face to face sessions after 5 days and if I feel well enough will have my session on-line.

Terms and Conditions of Service & COVID-19 Screening

During these worrying times my COVID-19 screening policy is in place to protect myself, my clients and others.  You will be asked to read it and agree to it before we book a face to face session.

In accordance with the BACP's ethical code of conduct, it is important that you can access my Terms and Conditions of Service.  This provides you with the information that you should  know before we decide to engage in the therapy process together.

You will be able to make an informed decision about how my service will be delivered to you, how information or data about you will be protected and to help you decide if you want to go ahead and work with me.

By agreeing to my terms and conditions of service we will be forming a contract together.  This ensures that the counselling process will be performed in a safe and professional manner and that my responsibilities towards you as my client, as well as the responsibility that you have towards me as your therapist are are clearly understood.

Whether we chose to work online or face to face, I will fill out a consultation form with some personal information such as your contact details and a brief history of your mental and physical health.
